fanny pack ain't the frugal gourmet

While at George Webb's* this morning the following conversation happened at the booth behind me.

chick: looks likes he going back to his car to get his fanny pack.

dude: yeah, they (fanny packs) are making a comeback, frugal times.

since when have fanny packs been associated with frugalness? i thought they were just in poor taste.. you just have a purse on your ass..

Not Milwaukee's 'Kill Your Television'

Milwaukee's, 'Kill Your Television' (we coined that name), is a woman that shows up at various festivals throughout Milwaukee. She wears the same t-shirt that reads "KILL YOUR TELEVISION" to every festival she attends and dances (to me, oddly) for the entire show. (Unlike this guy) any time someone tries to join her dancing she moves away to dance by herself. Now you can make the argument that the people joining her might be "making fun" of her, but if you had this guys attitude...I think we'd have more dancers...maybe even me!

No High Five

I'm a huge fan of 'High Fives' (much more fun than popping knuckles, popping fists, pounds, etc).  anyway, there has been a lot of fuss over Lebron James not shaking hands after their playoff loss to the Orlando Magic.  Though it is not very sportsmen like, let's not get too carried away here.  kids did see (or not see) this but this is not to say now they won't shake hands after defeat.  Parents, use this as a moment to teach your kids about sportsmenship.  Lebron should not be parenting your kids...you should be.

Wedding Season

Wedding Season have officially begun!  This past Saturday I was the "Assistant to the Officiant."  This was Megs first time officiating a wedding and the entire ceremony lasted 8 minutes.  lighting of candles - no.  signing of papers - no.  reading - no.  songs - no.  It was perfect because that was exactly what the couple wanted.  There was a kick-ass harp.

june consists of 1 wedding, july has 2, august 1, october 1.  there's more that I am forgetting!
